“Ted Lasso” is set to return for a fourth season, with Jason Sudeikis reprising his role as the American coach at the center of the Apple TV series. The new installment brings back key cast members, including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift.
The new season shifts the series’ focus as Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second division women’s soccer team. The move places the character in a different competitive structure from earlier seasons, which centered on the men’s club.
The cast also expands with new additions, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely, joining the returning core group.
Behind the scenes, the core creative group remains in place. Sudeikis continues as an executive producer alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel, with Brett Goldstein also returning as both a writer and executive producer.
Jack Burditt joins the season as an executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple. The series continues to be produced by Doozer Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television.
Apple will release the season on a weekly schedule, with episodes rolling out over roughly two months through October 7.
“Ted Lasso” debuted in 2020 and became one of Apple TV’s most recognized originals, earning multiple Emmy Awards, including back-to-back wins for Outstanding Comedy Series. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt, based on characters originally created for NBC Sports.
Season 4 of the Emmy-winning series will premiere on August 5 on Apple TV.
