Christina Applegate has addressed recent reports about her health, sharing an update after news surfaced that she had been hospitalized amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis.

In a message posted to Instagram, the actress thanked fans for their support while acknowledging the challenges she continues to face. “Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes,” she wrote. “Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick, and I’m getting stronger and better every day.” She added that she is taking time to focus on her health and plans to speak more in the future.

The post included an image of her memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, alongside a mug with the phrase “Kissy Kissy.” The update marks her first public comment following a report from TMZ stating that she had been hospitalized in Los Angeles on April 16. While her representative did not confirm the hospitalization, they noted that Applegate has a long history of complex medical issues, which she has openly discussed in both her writing and public appearances.

Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a chronic illness that affects the central nervous system, and has since spoken candidly about the realities of living with the condition. Her recent work reflects a continued effort to create space for honest conversations about the disease.

In addition to her memoir, Applegate co-hosts the podcast MeSsy with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also lives with multiple sclerosis. The podcast serves as a platform for open discussions about the physical and emotional toll of the illness. Applegate has emphasized that the tone of the show is intentionally unfiltered, prioritizing authenticity over polished narratives.

“Basically, we’re just gonna start a bitch session about MS,” she said in a recent interview. “I always tell people that I don’t speak in flowers, and I think that’s really important.” She explained that listeners have responded positively to the raw and direct approach, noting that many individuals with MS feel misunderstood and are seeking spaces where their experiences are acknowledged.

Applegate is also involved with NextInMS.com, a resource aimed at supporting people living with multiple sclerosis through information and community engagement. Her advocacy efforts have become a central part of her public life since her diagnosis, complementing her work in entertainment.
