Britney Spears has publicly addressed her recent legal troubles and treatment stay for the first time, sharing a personal message centered on recovery, reflection, and what she described as an ongoing spiritual journey.

The singer posted the statement to Instagram on Saturday, just days after resolving her DUI-related case in California and weeks after quietly entering a treatment facility. The post, which featured a photo of a small snake, offered a glimpse into her current mindset following a turbulent period that included her arrest, a plea agreement, and renewed public scrutiny.

“Went to the pet store with my kids and look at what a beautiful baby snake this is… snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck…” Spears wrote.

She continued with a more introspective note: “I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey… all a blessing in disguise… I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!”

Earlier this week, the singer pleaded guilty, through her attorney, to a reduced misdemeanor charge of reckless driving, commonly known in California legal proceedings as a “wet reckless.” The agreement allowed Spears to avoid jail time, while the original misdemeanor DUI charge was dismissed.

Spears did not attend the hearing in person.

Her attorney, Michael A. Goldstein, said after the hearing that the outcome reflected the court’s recognition of the steps Spears had taken since the incident. “She’s doing well,” Goldstein said. “It was reduced. The DUI was dismissed. She entered a plea to reckless driving.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Spears will remain on summary probation for 12 months and must comply with a series of court-ordered conditions, including ongoing mental health and substance treatment. Those requirements include weekly sessions with a psychologist, twice-monthly appointments with a psychiatrist, and completion of a three-month DUI education course.

The case began in March, when authorities stopped Spears following reports of erratic driving involving a BMW traveling at high speed in Ventura County. Officers reportedly observed signs of impairment, conducted field sobriety tests, and arrested the singer. She was booked and later released.

Shortly afterward, Spears voluntarily entered treatment.

Reports this week indicated that she recently left a rehabilitation facility in Camden, Maine, after spending less than three weeks there.
