As Cardi B prepares to launch the first arena tour of her career, the rapper is pushing back against online criticism surrounding her personal life and asking fans to refocus on the work ahead.

On Monday, the Grammy-winning artist addressed the backlash she’s faced over her relationship with NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs, urging fans to temper their reactions as she enters a demanding new phase of her career. In a candid video shared on X, Cardi B acknowledged the scrutiny while emphasizing the emotional and logistical pressures she’s currently navigating.

“Y’all need to calm down,” she said. “I can’t change the past. We can only move forward.”

Cardi and Diggs, who plays for the New England Patriots, welcomed their first child together in November. The rapper is also a mother to three children from her marriage to Offset, whom she married in 2017 and later filed for divorce from in 2024.

In the video, Cardi spoke openly about the toll of preparing for her upcoming tour, which is set to begin in February. She described a grueling rehearsal schedule that will require her to spend up to 12 hours a day preparing, often away from her family.

“I’m gonna be away from my baby, away from my home, away from my personal life,” she said. “I’m already stressed. I need my support system, my fans, to love me.”

The tour, titled the Little Miss Drama Tour, draws its name from Cardi’s sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, released in September. The project arrived more than seven years after her landmark debut, Invasion of Privacy, which earned Cardi a Grammy for Best Rap Album and cemented her status as one of the most influential artists of her generation.

Despite the personal commentary, Cardi made clear that her focus remains squarely on delivering for her audience. She framed the moment as one that requires unity rather than judgment, particularly as she steps into the most ambitious live chapter of her career.

“I want you to come to my tour and enjoy yourself with me,” she said. “Don’t be dragging me. It’s enough.”

The arena run represents a major milestone for Cardi, whose rise from viral breakout to chart-dominating star has been defined as much by her candor as her musical impact. Now, as she balances motherhood, public scrutiny, and a career-defining tour, the rapper is asking fans to meet her where she is and to show up for the work she’s putting onstage.

As she put it plainly: “I have so much to do, and I really need y’all with me.”
