Alan Ritchson, known for his lead role in the Prime Video series Reacher, is involved in an ongoing police investigation following an alleged altercation with a neighbor in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Local authorities confirmed that no arrests have been made as of now, but the incident remains under review. Brentwood Police Captain Steve Pepin said the department is aware of the situation and is examining the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
The dispute reportedly involves a Brentwood resident, Ronnie Taylor, who alleges that Ritchson physically assaulted him during an encounter over the weekend. According to Taylor, tensions between the two began a day earlier, when Ritchson was riding a motorcycle through the neighborhood. Taylor said he responded by making a rude gesture, which may have contributed to the escalation.
The following day, the situation intensified. Taylor told media outlets that when Ritchson returned on his motorcycle, he confronted him about the noise, asking him to stop riding through the area. He claims the exchange quickly turned physical.
Taylor alleges that he was struck multiple times during the encounter. In an interview, he said he was hit in the back of the head after pushing Ritchson and that he fell to the ground, sustaining visible injuries. Footage shared publicly shows bruising on his forehead, though the full sequence of events remains unclear.
“I don’t wish the guy any harm,” Taylor said in the interview, adding that his frustration stemmed from concerns about noise and activity in the neighborhood.
Additional accounts of the incident present a different version of events. Sources cited in follow-up reporting claim that Ritchson was pushed off his motorcycle more than once prior to the physical confrontation, suggesting that he may not have initiated the altercation.
Those same reports indicate that the actor was accompanied by two children, believed to be his own, at the time of the incident.
Authorities have not publicly confirmed either account in full, and no formal charges have been filed. The case remains under investigation, with police expected to review available evidence and statements from those involved before determining whether further action is warranted.
Ritchson has not issued a public statement regarding the incident.
